Aviator Statue Unveiling and Dedication

November 11, 2015

On 11 November 2015, Dr. Lee and Mr. Chunn represented the SES Team in unveiling and dedicating The Aviator Statue at the Huntsville Madison County Veterans Memorial in down town Huntsville. Dr. Lee and Mr. Chunn were joined by community and military leaders in the official unveiling. SES sponsored the statue that depicts an aviator proudly returning from a successful mission. It pays tribute to all U.S. Military aviators and commemorates their courage, sacrifice, and commitment to duty. It also honors all aviators who have served and given their lives in service to our country.

The statue was fashioned after Marine Captain Trey Wilbourn, III who was killed in action on February 23, 1991 during Operation Desert Storm. Trey was a native of Huntsville and Madison County. His mother, sister, and brother-in-law all assisted in the design of The Aviator statue.

SES is proud to have been a part of this endeavor recognizing the brave spirit of aviators from every service.
